Hello from a newbie from the East Coast of Scotland.

Ive been interested in watches for many years but in the past couple of years have taken to a bit of watch repair and have been learning the hard way!

Looking forward to improving my tinkering skills through this forum.

Welcome to the forum, you will find this a very friendly an informative place.

Is there a particular style or type of watch that you are interested in?

Mostly dive watches. My wife bought me an Omega SMP in 2002 which is my favourite.

I work in diving industry and a lot of nice watches to be seen there. I used to work for Stolt Comx Seaway, which was the same company that assisted Rolex with the Comex Rolex

And a belated welcome from me - who's very interested in vintage/old watches but knows next to nothing about dive watches!

Welcome to the forums,  they are a very knowledgeable bunch on here and should be able to answer most questions.

You mentioning diving watches brought to mind the Rolex Sea Dweller,  this must be one of the toughest watches in the world and far as I can see can only be destroyed by fire,  as it is proof against everything else.
