Hello Mates....

Found this very nice watch on Ebay:  Mortima Super 28 Super Datomatic. It did slip away for me this time. But I really like this vintage, big shiny, cluncy style....a little bit tacky, can I say that?...In a nice way ...

But is there anybody that have some experience on this type of watch?  Collectable? Spareparts? Screwable?

Cheers...

Emile Catton (Mortima ) was a manufacturer of high quality watches with "In House" movements. Very respected French maker. Like so many watchmakers the company failed to appreciate the "Quartz Revolution " and was sold to a company called Kiple in 1990.

As a point of interest Mortima did produce in house quartz movements in the 1980s and I have an example (see photos) but as far as the company was concerned; it was too little too late.ed1d0e8e088c2e7c96afb484ed7912c7.jpg552fb25035a4e902dc5edf9827416dfd.jpg
