Unitas/ETA 6497 problem

I'm servicing a Unitas/ETA 6497 movement and it's about to be done, but I'm having troubles when installing cannon pinion on... I've pressed quite hard, but the canon pinnion doesn't engage minute wheel properly. I don't have any press or else special tools for this. What kind of tools have used, any tips or tricks?

I just use the thicker part of the tweezers behind the tips...It should work or something is wrong. Maybe the support underneath is not appropriate?...Careful with the wheel....

Are you sure there's nothing stuck in side the cannon pinion that is blocking it's fitting. It should fit on quite easy, just make sure you take out the minute wheel as you could damage the teeth.

Problem solved. I removed the minute wheel and pressen cannon pinion on its place with the tweezers flat end.
