AS 1900

I am working on an AS 1900. In one of Mark's videos he uses a platex tool to remove the friction pinion from the third wheel. It looks very easy to do with the platex tool. I can't find a platex tool anywhere and I need to remove the pinion. What should be another acceptable method to remove the friction pinion?

I just did a AS 1906, and it's almost identical - just a different calendar mechanism, can you post a photo of the wheel in question?

That's actually the exact wheel I had a problem with in my post here! Small world. Just take a thin bladed screwdriver, and rotate it slowly and gently, mine came off no problem.

I should add, this was in between the two gears, that you rotate the screwdriver.
