My Cheap Hmt

Hello LarFure and welcome to the forum.

It is understandable that there is a stock of NOS HMT watches in India as the parent Co.was in Bangalore / Srinagar (ps I have only just looked this up).  At first I was wondering if they were copies but that was down to my natural distrust and ignorance of the origins of the company.  HMT linked up with Citizen in the early 60's apparently and the company was prolific in making an abundance of parts.

It sounds like a good idea to  "go to source" if you fancy one of these watches.  You should post a pic of your pilot on the whats on my wrist forum.

Cheers,

Vic

The one thing to keep in mind when you purchase a NOS HMT is that the oils in the movement have dried out. I gave mine a COA after it arrived. These are a good watches to collect. They are very reasonably priced and there are many models to choose from.
