Hi everyone,

Not sure if you can assist, but here goes. I am trying to replace a few parts on my father's Rado DiaStar: 129.0266.3The crystal gasket over time has softened and melted inside the case/crystal. Additionally, when I removed the movement one of the electric contacts came off. In the attached image, the small gold fingers is what I am referring to. The electronics and movement are beside it. Where in the movement does it go?
Additionally, I would like to find a set of replacement gaskets for the case/crystal and case back. can you assist with that?

Hey Andy,

Thanks. Looking up the serial on the Rado site, it should be a 318 caliber. case back has a round, red gasket, and the case front (beneath the crystal) is square. see photo.

Andy,

One more thing. I found where the gold 'fingers' should go. against the setting gear and is held in place when the circuit board is screwed down. However, when I inserted a new battery, it still didn't run. Thoughts?

Not sure what you mean by 318? What number is on the plate by the battery?

Did you have any hands fitted with the new battery to see any signs of life.

Without any test equipment you'll probably end up e to replaceing the complete movement.

Hi Andy,

The movement # is: 956414

Can I buy a new circuit board? the hands are fitted, and when I put a new battery in, the seconds hand didn't move

These are the dial feet on the clips and should have been the first thing removed.

Edit

Probably easier and safer just getting a new movement depending where in the world you are.

There are different versions of the movement, do we know which one is required?

As far as I know there was only ever one normal version of the 956.414 and the (3) was a rare special order.

Measuring the canon pinion would confirm this.

Now I see the dial feet/clips.

the mechanical part of the watch seems fine but can I replace the circuit board. I’m in New Jersey

Yes you can replace the circuit but it costs as much as a new movement and without running you can't be sure how the mechanical part is.

Is the date at 3 or 6 o'clock?  What the LP and BS is don't know, hopefully someone will.  Photos of the dial, please.

Just realised that the NS, is none seconds. So the position of the date and seconds or none seconds?

Not sure what you mean?

It's Cousins items that I showed above.

Edit

Yes there's nothing stopping you from trying the circuit board first.
