Hi guys. I just received this movement to practice on. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to remove the movement from the case and I cannot find any information online. I removed the crown and stem and that did not help although it allowed me to rotate the movement but that also did not help. + it seems like that Silver Band just on the inside of the case needs to be removed before the dial and movement can be removed but I'm not sure. It does not appear that it comes out of the front face of the case as there is no bezel that can be removed. I'm also not seeing any case screws although it looks looks like there could be a couple of screws missing where a case clamp might have been if you look at the 3:00 position on picture #2. But I don't think that is relevant to removal because they are already missing.

My other question is how to remove the retaining clip on the automatic rotor. I'm not sure if I should put a screwdriver in that Half Moon opening and then pull away from the center post or if there's some other trick that somebody knows about. Anyways thanks for any input you can provide. Arron

edit: I just noticed that there is a screw (encircled in blue) that can be lined up with the stem opening in the case.  I can't tell if that would have any effect on removal of the movement, but maybe somone knows.

I just found a video that @jdrichard did with a similar, but not the same model, watch.  He lifted the glass and took it out from the front.  i'll try that and report back.  I've never lifted a crystal before so hopefully i don't break it.

Here's an update: I was able to remove the crystal but unfortunately the dial was too big to come out that way.  After removing the very brittle gasket around the perimeter I was able to rock the movement and dial a little bit to break free a lot of the gunk that had accumulated over the years causing a tight seal. So Long story short the movement does come out from the backside not the crystal side.

Still wondering how to remove that C clip retainer.
