Dear members,

I have inherited my Dad's omega cosmic with caliber 752 (day-date). I am wearing the watch every day for about 7-8 hours.

I have had it serviced last April. On May I had to re-send it for repair because I damaged it while trying to fiddle with the day/date function around midnight.

Now it works properly although during summer period (quite hot here in Greece) it used to gain on average 10-11 seconds per day while from October it is barely gaining 2-3 seconds per day.

My concern is that on 19th on September near midnight and then again yesterday 19th of November near midnight the watch has stopped for a small period of time and then re started.

When this happened on September I took the watch to the watchmeaker who has monitored it for a couple of days and said that it did not happen again while he had it in hs workshop.

He attributed the problem to watche's low power reserve at the time of occurence.

My concern is whether there is something bent in the day/date wheel near the number 19 which is causing the mechanism to stop momentarily when trying to leap from 19 to 20.

I am not a watchmaker so I am just guessing.

Should I be worried?

Any thoughts / inputs are most welcome.

Thank you all for your patience and assistance.

Agree, fault in disc or  jumper mechanism.

Visually inspect the date/ day disc and  jumper mech.  if it can run with day disc eliminated, a vid of jumper mech in slow mo might help.
