Hello watchlovers, I'm servicing a IWC Aquatimer 2000 (eta 2892-a2 movement). The watch runs great after service, but there is one issue. the date change after 24 hours is oké and the quickset also. But when I case the watch, bring in de case cushion and the caseclamps and screws, the date changes not or very heavy. What can cause this problem?  Wrong (to long) screws? Thank you all in advance. With kind regards, Hans

Is it possible that in the process of servicing the movement the date wheel was ever so slightly bent? Or perhaps just one of the teeth on the wheel? There isn't the need for a dial spacer on the ETA 2892 version of the Aquatimer so it shouldn't matter how tight the case clamps are. However the tolerances are tight and even the slightest contact with the back of the dial could hang it up.

Hello Eccentric, I don't think so, but I'll check. Thank you for your response.

When I put the dial on it works fine.
