Hello all,

I recently received this watch from my father who found it at an estate sale and I found out that the balance spring is broken. I've been trying to identify the movement to obtain a new balance compete if I can but I haven't been able to identify it. The closest I've been able to find in the bestfit book from the 60's is it's possibly an A Schild 547 but I'm not positive on that. It measures approx 19.6-19.7 mm across so I'm thinking it would be closest to 8 3/4 ligne. I did find an 85 under the dial but I can't match that up with manufacturer marks. Other than that there are no further marks or numbers anywhere under the bridges that I could find. Does anyone have any further ideas?

I did mostly disassemble the whole thing and I didn't find any other markings. I didn't completely disassemble it but there was nothing that I saw under any of the bridges. I may check again just to be sure.

Lay out the minute wheel bridge jumper , the yoke and the setting lever. So we can get a good look at them . I have flume and the swiss parts catalogs.

On the watchuseek forum someone else said they have the same movement but it's 15 jewel and they have never been able to successfully identify it either. He is speculating that it was an in house Heloisa movement. I did grab a partial swartchild catalog and it does mention Heloisa watches but the 41 pages of it that I have doesn't go that far. The Bestfit catalog doesn't mention Heloisa at all.
