Small drills for rebushing non jewelled holes

Recommended Posts

This seemed the closest topic to ask under. While most repairs I do involve jewelling for which I am well equipped, when working on repeaters I end up having to rebush non-jewelled holes in brass.  I'm struggling to find more of the 0.1mm drills which I'd use in the lathe (with plate mounted on a watchmaker's faceplate). I'd then open up with broaches to size. Does anyone have any suggestions for a source?  It's easy to find 0.3mm and above.

I'd prefer not carbide, they are good for repivoting, but this is only brass and they do snap easily when hand held and a bit of carbide stuck in a watch plate is generally bad news. The old flat spade type worked well, but seem hard to find these days in this sort of size.
