Help with solution to dissolve glue under a bezel

Hi all

I have a Zodiac 10ATM with a friction fit bezel. It's so tight that I am thinking it has been glued in place. So I am thinking of removing the movement and injecting some kind of solvent between the bezel and the case to dissolve the glue. Any tips and tricks would be kindly welcomed. What kind of solution is recommended. I figure if it is grime the solution will get to that as well.

Acetone or nail polish remover that is the two I know of.

I ended up removing the movement and giving it a good dose of WD40 and that loosened up the bezel - so it was gunk and not glue thankfully.  Now my concern is that I need to get the bezel off and dry it  out so the WD40 doesn't leak out onto the dial. Is a friction fit bezel really the friction created around the plexiglass and therefore the plexiglass has to come out to get the bezel off?

I take it you are talking about a diver's style watch with a rotating oxygen reserve indicator bezel ?  Pictures please. If so the bezel is retained by a faceted spring.

Usually friction fit to the case, may have a  spring.  It should pry off with a  case knife or bezel removal tool.

Thanks guys. It's a Seawolf 10ATM pre spring bezel. The case knife stressed me a bit, but eventually got it off and cleaned - nearly seventy years of grime.  Thanks.
