Hi there, thanks for the reply.

I gave a quote and the owner took the watch home so I won't have it until next week probably. I do know that it's a cal. 2135 Ladies Datejust from the 1980's.

The rotor axle is not designed to be riveted like a balance staff. The punch deforms the surrounding material of the rotor.

Yes, I thought as much...why would they produce a special tool if it wasn't necessary 🙄. I wasn't aware that it's the material of the rotor that needs to be deformed, I assumed that the axle seat would be.... we live and learn, right ?

I just watched a few youtube videos about this topic showing that I was wrong with my statement. Sorry for that!

It‘s the axle itself that gets deformed and rivetet. Some people have successfully used standard punches.
