Hello all.  A friend is looking at a ladies datejust.  The description states water damage but no photos of the movement, so unknown if the damage is minimal or major.  If the damage was major, is there any other movement that would fit?  He doesn't want to sell the watch, it's for his wife and she wouldn't know the difference or care.

Are genuine movements available to buy?

This will depend on the cal movement and style of case. Water damage can mean a lot of things from fully corroded to just a few spots. Unless you can see the watch movement and dial forget it.
