Electroplating

Eyup watch people, a question for those of you out there that are into re-plating cases. What methods do you use to take off old worn plating, has anyone tried a reverse electroplating process ?

I haven't tried it, even though I  have worked with chemicals and in a lab,  wouldn't want to try this at home.

Thanks Rich, interesting read . From reading about chrome plating in the past it is a more hazardous process than nickel plating, more toxic chemicals are used. Nickle plating is fairly straightforward and reasonably safe when using precautions.
