Case back removal tool sizing.

How do you size a case back opener? I  need to remove a back from a Brreitling Avenger and of course the tools come in different sizes.  Does the size refer to the case size or the diameter of the back / flats on the back?

Why dont you just use the nut/glue, glue/nut method.

I considered that but what about when the back goes back on? The back/ nut needs soaking in acetone.

When putting it back on you should get a good enough seal with the rubber ball
