Best way to screw in pusher tube

Hi everyone, I was wondering what you guys think is the best way to screw in a smooth pusher tube (like in the photo). I can't use any of my pin vices because it's impossible to get a grip on the tube without the head of the vice getting in the way (second photo shows the problem). I don't want to use a broach because I don't want to damage the inside of the case. I was thinking to use my horotec multi purpose tool but I don't have an attachment piece to fit inside the tube.

Try an arbor vise. They are sort of expensive but very useful. It might be too small to get a very good grip, but are made to not damage the smooth surface of an arbor when gripping to put in a barrel. Granted the steel and solid arbor is harder than the stem tube so use it carefully.

Use superglue to attach a nut or something you can grab hold of.  After you are done, soak in acetone to release the nut.  This method is often used to remove tough case backs.

If you have a lathe and the pusher part protrudes out enough you can grip it with a collet, Happy New Year
