Timegrapher unable to detect beat

I am working on a tiny vintage ladies watch and am unable to check its performance on my Weishi No.1000

The timegrapher tries to auto detect beat for a few seconds, it stops, then tries again.

The watch is definitely running consistently the entire time. Is the performance too bad for timegrapher to register the beat? I was also wondering if it's too quiet for the timegrapher's mic but there's no gain setting on mine.

I ended up finding out I could increase gain by hitting the up arrow while NOT in Settings mode and I can detect beat now

To give it the best chance of detecting the signal - don't have the movement in the case, and put the balance side close to the metal end of the holder. If it is cased, put the crown against the metal, as it transmits sound from the movement.

In this case I use my modified weishi (described somewhere here) and oscilloscope to see what is going on. I guess your movement is not working properly that is why weishi cannot capture a synchronization edge.
