ETA 2789

Recommended Posts

I have a friends watch.  Its a "Jubilee 1104" with an ETA 2789.  The winding stem seems to be stuck in the 1st setting position.  I cannot pull it out to the 2nd setting position either.    I am able to remove the stem, but when I re-install it, it won't let me insert it back to the winding position.  Only the 1st winding position.  Any thoughts?

It's quite common for the setting lever to get dislodged. You will need to remove the dial and reset the set lever and its spring.  One hint when re-installing the stem with the movement in the case is to have have it the hand-setting position before you remove the stem from the movement. Otherwise it will be very easy to dislodge it again.

Good luck
