Suggestions for stuck movement spacer

Recommended Posts

Very much a newbie seeking some advice for this Seiko 66B movement. I've removed the two screws for the movement spacer as seen in the photo but it won't budge. The gasket appears to be very solid and I suspect it has locked the spacer in place. To remove the movement, I thought perhaps I could remove the bevel and crystal and have the movement come out the front but there doesn't appear to be any obvious location around the edge of the bevel to remove it. Any suggestions on what I should try would be appreciated.
