Trying to repair a mother of pearl watch dial

Hi, 

I recently bought a ladies Rotary watch on ebay, it is working but the 6 o cloclck hour indice has come off and I am finding it very difficult to put it back into place. It's so fiddly has anyone got any tips which will make it easier to accomplish.

You should provide a few pictures of the dial, and the index in question. Are there pins to locate the index on the dial?
