Happy Saturday all!

I recently acquired an Elgin timer /stopwatch from 1943. Broken staff, which I believe I have located at Otto Frei(hopefully). But the tragedy is that a part of the stopping mechanism is completely missing from the watch; the connecting pinion.

Rarely have I had the opportunity to work on something like this, and I even found the tech specs online to assist me - a step by step guide! I want so much to continue working on it, but it will be a lost cause if I don't have this part. I know it's a shot in the dark, but anyone know where I can get a hold of this? The movement is grade 469, model 21. It’s a 16s.

You could try Dave Coatsworth,  daveswatchparts.com

Even if he doesn't have the part,  he may be able to send you in the right direction.

Good Luck!

I hope that you were able to locate the pinion! Where did you find the spec sheet? I just found one this past weekend and it would be my first time tearing into one.

Thanks!
