Camerer Cuss and Co - Kuss or Cuss

Hi Everyone.

I am trying to purchase an antique clock for my father for his 80th birthday as he already has a good collection. I am new to this though!

I've found a very nice looking Camerer Cuss and Co 19th Century Fusee Wall Clock.

My question is with the rudimentary research I have done, the Kuss family changed their name to Cuss due to anti-German sentiment in the first world war. Does that mean a Camerer Cuss & Co clock/watch cannot be older than the first world war, or did they go back and change the name on the faces after the rename?

Thanks!
