Hi, Has anyone actually replaced Seiko 7T62 with a YM62 movement? Any differences encountered between the two? YM62 is much lower cost for me and preferred if at all possible. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I have seen that information but do not know how accurate it is. I wanted to hear from someone who has actually done the swap between the two.

The general consensus is that they are exactly the same apart from the rear plate that can be easily swapped if desired.

Well, I did the swap and I can report that I did not have any issues. The movements appeared to be identical apart from the embossed movement number on the rear metal plate that I also swapped. Brother in law is going to be very happy with his repaired watch. Tip for everyone, do not leave batteries inside watches after they have stopped working as they will leak and corrode the quartz circuitry.
