Hello all,

I've recently purchased an Omega 213 movement from ebay in a bid to have a go at working on a very small movement, and i have a love for old watch movements, and this thing is small!

I am after some help. I'm happy to just strip and clean this and learn from the experience as it wasn't much money. However, i would love to be able to put this in a case and turn this into a small watch for my daughter possibly. (Shes 8 going on 23).

I'm struggling with the size of it, in that i mean the Linge?, in which leads onto the question, can a case be purchased for this movement, then a movement spacer fitted ( i need help with which one to buy) to end up with a functioning watch?

The dial is pretty wrecked although i really love it as its original, not sure my daughter would agree though! So, what options do i have or is this not achievable?

The hands are fine and if a replacement dial can be purchased and then mounted with dial feet i'm ok with that, the hands are in great shape, i don't mind a bigger dial with this movement running the watch.

Let me know any idea or inspiration.

Thank you,

Adrian

Hi   the original dial can be cleaned up using mild soapy water and a cotton bud,   Lignes are a measure ment in the watch industry,  1 ligne = 2.256 mm.  I have attached a conversion chart. As Far as cases go it will be a case(forgive pun) of measuring up the watch and having a trawl round to find what you want. It is possible to fit it in a bigger case with a dial using a movment  form,  Have a look at cousins uk web site  or Esslingers and Jules Borel if you are in the USA.         Cheers
