Eta 955.112 Servicing

Have a watch from a friend that apparently stops every now and then.  the movement is a ETA 955.112 Quartz.

 

Does one service theses or simply replace?

 

I noticed last night that the watch started jumping sporadically. - maybe a clean of the piviots?  

 

The case doesnt seem to close so it is very posible dirt could get into the train?

 

This is quartz so this is new to me.,
