Hi All,

I have an Orient watch from my teenage years that I like; but, it runs slow. The seconds hand moves normally, but, stops sometimes here and there; and then it goes again. Does anyone know what might be the cause. Of course it's old and for sure it needs servicing; but, I'm not sure if the cost of repairs might be too high to justify repairing. How much should I expect to pay for servicing such a watch? Thanks.

Normally in Western countries it's very rare to have a watch service for less than 100 (dollars or euro or pounds). Even for more, it may be difficult to find a reasonable and able watch repairer.

I'm in Malaysia..  servicing typically costs MYR80-100 which is about USD20-25 but this is excluding parts.

Where are you located Romin? May be someone here who could help direct you to a repair-shop.
