Hi again,

Here's another questions for those who may know...

I have movement missing the hour wheel (how/why I lost it is another frustration that I won't go into here) and luckily there seems to be spares to be found.

The supplier lists two alternative "heights": 1,67 mm & 1,95 mm.

When I measure the cannon pinion that the wheel sits on with my accurate Mitutoyo micrometer, I get its height (excl. The toothed part) to 1,70 mm.

If the listed wheel height is defined as its total height this would indicate that even the low alternative won't see the pinion protrude enough to allow for mounting the minute hand.

Or could it be that the wheel height number actually refers to the cannon pinion it's supposed to go onto? The numbers 1,67 and 1,70 are very close....

Grateful for any insight in these matters.
