It's a Seiko watch

Model #7430-5130

I'm hoping someone here can help me get my beloved watch back in action.

Little did I know as I adjusted the time on my watch on a flight last month (never again)
that the back piece (case) of my Seiko came off.
I have contacted Seiko and they have told me they stopped carrying parts for my watch about
10 years ago.

My watch is 40+ years old.

Not only does it have sentimental value, but it is a true looker as well.
A very elegant dress watch that I have loved wearing for decades now.

I will not give up on this watch simply because it no longer has its back piece.

So I come here for ideas to get it back in working condition again.
I have an idea of my own but would like to hear from others
here (experts) on what I can do to exactly.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  :)

Thanks anilv for helping out. I did take a peek at eBay a couple of weeks ago but nothing turned up.

I'm not really surprised as this is not the type of watch that people would usually like to part with.
Ideally I'd like to find a replacement case back, but failing that I am open to other solutions to get this
watch back in action (ie. substitute back cases of varying materials etc.).

Has anyone at this site ever performed an operation/experiment on a watch to give it a new back when a replacement
part simply wasn't available?

This is the avenue I would like to explore.
