Page width ?

Dumb question from a 'newbie'.  Apologies, I don't mean to 'pick holes', before I get started, but ....

Is there any way to suppress the right hand side-bar when reading threads ? 

My default monitor setting is 1024x768 (saves me having to wear reading glasses on the PC), but with this setting posts all very bunched up, which is particularly annoying, when as you scroll down the page, there's actually nothing in the RH sidebar.

To answer my own question, I guess there must be. 

I just had a quick look at the RLT forum:

http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/ who are also using Invision software and they have the RH sidebar on the main forum (home) page, but not on sub-forums nor at topic level.

Might be something you'd like to consider.

Perhaps you might like to draw it to his attention, please. 

I can't personally see the need for repetition of newest topics and posts at thread level .... but what do I know ?
