This clock was purportedly brought back from Russia by Great-Grandparents, movement has no marks that I can see, Anyone hazard guess on mfg? it needs some work, but Case is beautiful ceramic also not marked, I get shaky just handling this thing! Thanks for your  thoughts.DSCF0363.JPGDSCF0359.JPG

That is a  German movement with strike with open mainsprings and it strikes on a gong. The movement is a poor imitation of a French strike. See by this picture how similar it looks. The case is a Wedgwood looking type but its an imitation, but I'm not sure if that is the original case.

thanks oldhippy, I pretty much figured it wasn't very posh, except for the looks! Still, because it's been around this long and even though it's not worth much except for sentiment, I'll forward to my clockguy for estimate.
