Breitling 800 case problem

Hi.

I recently had an old Breitling 800 ( Calibre Venus 175) in for repair and when I came to fit the case back together I was somewhat puzzled as to how to refit the rotating bezel.  There is a ring that clips into the front edge of the case & the bezel drops neatly over the ring but there I am stumped as there does not appear to be any way of attaching the said pieces together.    This is one of my trade repairs & I am wondering if there was anything missing  before it was sent to me?

From what I can remember you just press down and turn and the ring clip thing just pops over the edge. If you post pictures that might help seeing the bits.
