Broken Winding Stems

A friend of mine recently gave these two watches to me to look at while he went on holiday,

 

they both have broken winding stems !

 

on the Swiss army watch I've noticed also that the luminous material on the hands has broken up & is lying around on the dial and I think that some of it has gone in through the date window and stopped the watch !.

 

The watch is marked Swiss made 'T'  I think this means tritium so am not sure if this will present a hazard if I open up the watch !  don't fancy a cloud of radioactive dust floating around the room !!   :startle:   any advise would be greatly received .

 

The other watch is this nice Breitling  I'm hoping Mark may be able to sort.
