condensation under crystal

Recommended Posts

It is easy to understand humidity by thinking for example on sugar solution. In hot water, You can dissolve more sugar than in cold water. By closing a watch You add fixed amount of water "dissolved" in the air. Night is coming and it is getting colder. Now the "solution" getting concentrated and saturated. The amount of water that cant be dissolved will condensate. Why on the crystal? Becouse tha bottom of the watch is warmer on the wrist and at the crystal is the coldest.

Solution? Put the watch and caseback separated in the fridge . Leave it there until getting cold. Quickly put the caseback on the case while in the fridge. This way You get less total amount water in the watch. Or You can simply put the watch (caseback off) in a nylon bag with dried silica and close the bag. Leave there for a day. Then while in the bag quickly put the caseback on.
