Vostok parts interchangeabilty with 2415/ 2416B?

Hello All;

My new Vostok Amphibian with a 2415 movement had a weird behavior.......going slow, then suddenly sped up and visa versa. Initially I though it was a bone dry main-spring, but unfortunately the problem continued. Yesterday I took the watch apart and spotted only at a few spots minuscule oiling. Took from the balance the cap-stones and chatons (with the balance staff jewel inside) out and while cleaning, I missed one cap-stone. I pulled the Rodico to the finest threads apart, to see if the stone had stayed stuck in the Rodico, but nothing to be found. Did it nonetheless go missing or wasn't it there in the first place; hence the weird behavior??

Anyway, I wrote an email to Vostok-Europe to see if they can help me out with a new cap-stone.......awaiting their answer.

Looking ahead, and perhaps for future repairs, which Vostok, preferably cheaper, movements has the most interchangeable parts with the 2415 or 2416B movements?

Is there anybody on the forum who has a scrap Vostok movement from which an identical 2415 cap-stone can be obtained? This in case Vostok says........too bad for you......

Roland, I have a dead 2414A movement from a Komandirskie. I believe most of its parts are interchangeable with the 2415.

You wrote that you contacted Vostok-Europe. If so, you will not have much luck. The Amphibias are made by Vostok, not Vostok-Europe, which are two different companies.

Thanks svorkoetter Yes, I wrote to Vostok-Europe with the question if they could help me out or whether I had to contact Vostok in Russia? They haven't replied yet and today I may just as well send the same email to Vostok in Russia.......see if they reply?

I'm very interested in parts of your 2414A, and please hang on to it a little. I'm in contact with a Russian dealer who seems to have a bunch of none-working Amphibians, returned by his costumers for warranty. He says he not a watch maker and likes to send me some pictures today of what he has and the price. If I could get a "lot" 2415 / 2416B's for not much, I'm saved and can help other people in need........

If that doesn't work, I very much would like to have some parts of your 2414A. In that case I will PM you Thank you very much for the offer !!
