This is for the varimatic i restored and closely matches the original design. I have added text for the components to make the schematic easier to understand.

Here is a picture of the two restored varimatics.I need to paint the silver one after the last owner bead blasted the shell 😞 .

thanks, mine just messed up, I wasn't paying attention and the fluid was low and I had the large basket on when it jammed into the first jar not lifting up enough, I was able to stop and save the original L&R jar but I think the shaft is twisted at the nut which is the way I obtained it, I had a machinist make me another one and it had been working for years with no problem, these are great machines...
