My favorite and most utilized tweezers are the straight bronze pair; however, I cannot find any source of a bronze #7 or similar curved tweezers.

Does anyone have a source for such?

I've checked all the major supply houses in the US and Europe, as well as the major suppliers. Bergeon, Horotec and Boley all have straight bronze, but no curved versions. None from Dumont and Viola.

you may just have to make them yourself. Its not terribly difficult if you have access to a jewelers saw, a belt sander, and a drill press.

I was thinking of making a pair of bronze tipped tweezers by replacing the carbon fibre tips of a cheap pair of tweezers from China. The body of the tweezers are of pretty decent quality and have quite a light closing force.

I would probably remove the carbon fibre tips first and use that as a template to rough out the tips in phosphor bronze. Should be able to complete it in a day.

Andy, thanks, but those appear to be bronze-colored tweezers as opposed to be composed fully of the alloy. Note the "plasma coating produces an intense bronze finish."

Hector,

That sounds like an excellent, doable idea. And I have a pair of the Bergeon carbon fiber ones with too-fat tips I never use anymore. I can use the cheap Cousins #7 Ti pair I just dressed down (whose tips are also really wide to start with) as a template. Thanks. Let me know if you make any progress.
