Hi all. Please be gentle I'm an old boy and this is my first post.
I am looking for some help with an Omega (1332 movement late 70's - early 80's) I Purchased last year via ebay.
As soon as I removed the case back I met with the common problem of  battery leakage, although it doesn't appear too bad.  Having tested the electric module in-situ apart from the coil everything testable appears dead. So first I needed a replacement module. But, if you know the 1332, you will have already guessed I can't find a module anywhere.
The actual circuit board looks salvageable so I'd hoped I could find and solder new replacement components and refurb the old module. A simple enough job I thought.
The coil has continuity so that can stay -
I have not a clue where I'd source a replacement IC (integrated circuit) which I call the CHIP (I am told these were produced by Fujitsu). Any ideas about sourcing the right Chip would be good, otherwise that will have to stay in place. The component giving the biggest grief is the little black in-line cylinder shape(please see the photos where an arrow shows this component positioned in 3 or 4 Omega module of that era). I did ask three Omega repairers what it was. One said - a capacitor, one said - a resistor and the last  said - a condenser. My question is, can anyone shed any light on what this in-line component actually is and what strength/rating would that obscure component have. Many thanks - Look forward to your replies.

Thanks Richard - It might be helpful to know that the IC has the following code -

Top Line MB13

Bot Line 0101Y

Hi AndyGSi - Yes I've got a multimeter. I used it to test when the module was inside the movement and I also purchased and used a quartz watch tester using the sensor pad. Thanks for your interest BobH.
