Customer brought his watch to me that is Rolex 16753 GMT.  The bezel ring is difficult to turn in either direction.  I removed the bezel in hopes of finding some dirt and grime to clean out but there wasn't any.  I ultrasonically cleaned the case and rim and tension ring but was still hard to turn.  The tension ring is flat and has no bends.  I've ordered a replacement which hasn't arrived as of this post.  Just can't stand something this simple to beat me.  I did check to ensure the case main bezel was fully seated too.

Any tips on what is causing this much friction and how to adjust?

What do you mean by tension ring? Do you mean the click spring?

Photos would help.

Just received a new tension ring ordered for my model.  Installed and all working well.  It is completely flat like the original one that arrived with the watch.

does the bezel move freely without the ring?

It does, thanks.
