I am working on a Kieninger J movement.  Is there a way to use my timegrapher to see the results so I can regulate the movement ?

Thanks for replies, Dave

Hi Dave, no reason to think that timegrapher will not get normal readings. Just the ticks may b to loud, so the gain must be reduced or microphone put in order to reduce the signal. The BPH should be 18000

Thanks for the reply.  Where did you find the beat rate? Is it standard for a large clock?

I was thinking of putting a small rod between the case and the pickup.
