I have that set Rich, I have randomly gone through about 20 of the guages and they have all measured correctly using the Feintaster. Don’t put the smaller ones down on your bench, they make click springs look big and thick 😂

What's the delivery charge on them as I've got this set in my basket for ordering later this week.

Was going to order them this weekend but thanks to @Neverenoughwatches and Flume I've just spent £50.00 on books.

Sorry about that Andy, i didnt pay a lot for the Flue catalog i have. I could have scanned the book and sent you the pages.  The pin gauges were 45 quid in total inc. Shipping and tax, i think the shipping was around 12 quid. I got the 0.1 - 1mm in 10 micron increments.

Not sure if it's the same Flume book that you've got but the one I've order is the Band 4 with a green cover and cost £15.00?

But I then also saw a Flume K4 Quartz book and another for French movements hence the £50.00.

Can you send me the link to the pin gauges as yours works out a bit cheaper than the one I was looking at.

Red cover Band 2/3 the caliber listing is easier to handle than bestfit, choose the pallet design, then holes per set lever then the size. I'll get that link.

I knew I should have asked first or done more research as the Band 4 is for clocks, Doh!!!!

Well maybe this is the next step in evolution.

Haha not a complete waste Andy the same flume book i have sold for 20 quid or so last week also the swiss catalogs. I'll see whats involved with scanning them and possibly post a download if someone can talk me through it. I wonder what copyright laws exist with them. Did i say scan and download them ? I meant copy every detail in their entirety and post a simple link for all to take advantage of the situation and completely ignore any copyright that forbids such action 🤣🤣

I bought the 0.5 to 1 mm set, as well as the 1 mm to 2 mm and the 2 mm to 3 mm set. The bigger pin gauges are great for barrel arbor holes in mainplates and barrel bridge when boring to create an even hole from an ovaled one before bushing. They are mentally accurate, as my JKA Feintatser tells me.

I bought all my sets from these guys https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005362640246.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.246.44ba1802PTiHEm

I have my Bergeon pin gauge set for the small stuff. 0.07 to 0.5 mm

Good price for this set. The expense starts at the really small sizes

So true. I bought my Bergeon gauges for about £300 to £400 a couple of years back, but I'm glad I did. I've used them a lot. Great to show the taster day students as well.

I couldnt find a set starting at 10 microns for under 40 quid inc. Tax and shipping. But the ones over 1mm are good value, shame Ali dont combine shipping costs, each and every item has it tagged on.

You need to look for the Choice which gives free shipping over £8.00

Not sure if they bump up the item price to compensate for the free ship Andy. I have these in my basket works out about the same, i dont think they discount ship costs for multiple purchases.

There probably isn't must difference in price, maybe a few pounds here and their, but with the Choice you
get guaranteed 5 or 7 day deliver where a lot of the items I've been looking at were showing 2 to 3 weeks.
