Quartz ic consumption increase with stem out

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I am trying to rationalize what is going on with this eta 955.112.  It operates within the manufactures published specs for all tests, with the exception that when the stem is pulled out completely, the  internal IC consumption jumps to 75ua.   It should be < .5ua.

1st thought was faulty ground switch....  but hat did nothing.  Swapping the electronic module fixed the problem-   ruling out it being a grounding switch issue.

Do i Just a bad movement?  ot is there something else going on ?   cold solder joint at ground pin?

Has anybody seen this or want to take a stab at why
