Hi!  First post here...

I'm working on repairing a cheap watch that my friend accidentally took swimming with the crown unscrewed.

After cleaning the case in the ultrasonic cleaner, the bezel is much harder to turn.  Does the bezel click spring need grease?  If so, what kind?  I have Moebius 9415 and Molykote DX.

Thanks!

I would apply a thin coat of grease, even Vaseline would work. Remember to oil the spiking and plunger.

Thanks! I’ll try some Molykote when I get back home on Monday. I’ll report back with an update.

One thing to keep in mind is that grease attracts / accumulate dirt / sand etc. It may work in the short term, but could become problematic in the long term.

The Molykote seems to have worked the trick.  I greased only the spring/plunger and every other detent on the bezel
