Removing seized link from a Rolex Jubilee bracelet

Recommended Posts

Well, the link isn't seized but the screw head of the pin/machine screw is boogered and the screw is too tight to turn with the grip available.  A watchmaker applied heat to no avail.  Can I saw through the link next to it and cut the machine screw and put some vice grips on the shaft and turn it out that way?  Or any ideas on a better way?

Sorry, there's no way I could get a good photo of the screw head.  It's about 0.5 mm or less across. Don't know how much heat was applied but I assume the watchmaker knew what he was doing. I'm a little confused about removing the links, but I think you have to remove a removable link from each side of a non-removable link, then remove the non-removable link.  I guess I'll just spend $55 and replace the bracelet with a chinese one from off of Amazon.
