I have an antique pocket watch with a mainspring barrel that I haven’t seen before. Does anyone know how to take it apart? I’ve tried to do my research but it’s difficult when I don’t know what to call it.

Put tweezers in the holes and unscrew the ratchet wheel. The under side is known as a Maltese stop works, Google it.
