So I am trying to replace the crystal on my dad's watch he wore while in Vietnam, got it all apart and my son kinda mixed some parts around, my question is in between the rotating bezel and crystal, there is a tension spring, and metal ring with a flat side and grooved side. Pretty sure the spring is first then the metal ring, which side faces the crystal, flat or grooved. Pics of ring attached.

Thanks in advance

Looks similar to 6139-600x so the groove should probably be up and there should be gasket in the groove and then the crystal.

Starting from about 6 minutes I tear down the case. It's in Finnish so no help there 😄

Rotating bezel in first, then the spring, then the metal ring (flat side down - grooved side up), then your gasket.  The groove in the metal ring is for your crystal gasket to sit in.

Start at 52:23 of the video below for reference.
