Hi

I bought a watch on Ebay which is (allegedly) a Waltham.  It has an AS 1802 movement in it.  The case back says 1950 in it (and was sold as such).  I'm a tad sceptical as the movement is in very good condition and keesp good time although disassembled now.

My question is - did Waltham use A. Schildt movements?  I was expecting to see a Wyler movement.

Also the actual marking is AS SA in a shield 1802

Thanks Kalanag.  One other reason I am sceptical - not so much on why an A. Schildt movement (which I have in a Wyler as well - just not that calibre) is that the case back text saying 1950 appears as shiny 'new' engraving whereas the Waltham details are stamped.  I'll upload a photo of the case back tonight.

I'm not too fussed - it wasn't expensive.  But also the movement almost looks new in appearance.  Very simple mechanically.

Cheers, Jon
