I recently purchased a Seiko 7006 - 7007. It has the 7006a movement. It's running very fast. I've attempted to adjust the wheel with the arrow between the plus and minus. It was all the way to the plus side. Now, it is as far as it can go to the minus but it did not slow down the timing of the watch at all. It is still gaining 8 seconds every minute. Is there something else to do that I am missing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy..

Have you checked if the hairspring is in between the two downward pins on the regulator arm. These effectively adjust the length of the spring which results in adjusting the watches rate.

And check for it being magnetised, there is an app called Lepsi which is free and seems to work ok in my experiments so far. If magnetised you’re going to need some sort of demagnetising tool.
