Timex M108 mainspring

Trying to find a replacement for this guy, without much luck. I bought one off eBay, but it doesn't fit the arbor. It's a very strange hook that goes almost halfway around the arbor, and there's a long slot in the mainspring to match.

I've checked the GR catalog and found a couple of springs that are close in size, but I don't think any of them will have a slot like that.

I'm at the point where I'd be interested in just replacing the whole movement, but I don't know where to source that, other than keeping an eye on the eBay. I'm open to suggestions for either option!

Almost half the diameter of the arbor. Have you anything to lose attempting to extend the ms slot.

Timex did not sell replacement mainsprings.  Your best bet is to find a donor movement.  M107, M108, M109 should all be the same.
