Hi, I'm a new member! Thanks for your warm welcome.  I have taken a little interest lately in pocket watches: they seem plentiful and cheap!  But I haven't yet ventured into repairing them.  This started after buying a Goliath (1908 Omega movement though the case will be 3rd party I presume), which I got as a "desk clock".  I stumbled across this site looking for advice on sourcing parts for old watches.  I think I need to spend a bit of time rooting around your posts! 🙂

Well hello there and welcome!

There is a lot of good stuff to be found. It's been suggested that google search does better than the search in this forum but I rarely use it. I just read threads that look interesting. I had started out on an Elgin grade 313 movement and ended up cannibalizing a 2nd 313 movement and subsequently found that just because they were the same grade, they were made 26 years apart and while the screws were interchangeable not much else was.

It's certainly a learning experience.
